Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2021
It’s been the Haute Couture Week. A fashion week for all haute couture designers to share their new collections. While the COVID19 pandemic is still fiercely hindering our travel activities, life should still go on. And we should still be able to enjoy all the amazing creations from our most admired fashion designers, remotely.
Wonderful Opportunity to Dress-up
I’m so glad to be invited to attend the Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2021 Code Temporal Show virtually yesterday. Ever since the social distancing rules enforced, it’s been a while that I didn’t truly dress up to event. Harnessing this wonderful opportunity, I am grateful to be dressed by Valentino in their Spring/Summer 2021 ready to wear look to attend this Valentino fashion show virtually on Valentino.com. While my Valentino SS21 look is in beige mini dress, my Valentino SS20 look was all-white. The whole experience actually quite similar to actually attending the show. I still received the physical invitation card and the outfit for the event. I still need to be on time and get ready to share the show on my Instagram. While the only difference is I don’t need to travel and posing on the street.

The Valentino Haute Couture Show
Talking about this Valentino fashion show, it was live happening at the Galleria Colonna, Sala Grande in Rome at Jan 26 3pm Rome time (10pm Hong Kong time). Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli presented his months of hare work, together with his amazing team.
The long silhouettes of everything Valentino always impresses me. And it was further accelerated and exaggerated to the next level through their metallic platform heels. A significant detail to ground the show.
The expression of texture and form, in the vibrant colours of gold, white, beige, yellow. The golden faces added another signature into the collection. Hence, I can’t resist myself to think of an ultra long straight hair style.
The venue of Galleria Colonna and the music Ritual Spirit (temporal) from Massive Attack echoing each other for a mixture of traditional heritage and modern sophistication. A perfect backdrop has been set to showcasing this Spring Summer 2021 Valentino Haute Couture show.

Viewing a fashion show live on internet has been a new normal for appreciating the runway. We can enjoy the carefully curated shooting angle. Hence, able to see the details in a more completed way. It was a great enjoyment to see an amazing Valentino Haute Couture show online. Let’s enjoy it again together!
