After many years of borrowing the inspiration from a red nail polish to the respected red sole, Christian Louboutin has returned its fame from his shoes back to his new nail lacquer. The signature red of Christian Louboutin, Rouge Louboutin (HK$450) was born in July 2014.
Same as the Christian Louboutin shoes, the design of the Rouge Louboutin is truly iconic. The nail polish bottle well represents their brand in “heels”. To me, it has become my decor objects on top of my dresser. I simply love it.
The texture of the nail lacquer is very rich. It smooths on the nail easily and can cover the surface of the whole nail by just one layer. To capture the richness of red, I’ve put on 2 layers in my pictures. As a Louboutin red sole fan, I can’t explain how I am excited by having my nail matching my sole. Fantastic!!
The only one thing I would comment is a good base coat is necessary and don’t leave on your nail lacquer too long as I found minor stain to my nail after I removed it.
Christian Louboutin first launched their nail lacquer in their signature red in July. More colours are coming by the end of August 2014. Stay tune. 🙂
