The Vampire’s Wife dress – a dress that gives me confidence
I am a dress person. I have to say that I am so obsessed with a dress brand, The Vampire’s Wife, which totally fulfil my wish. I bought my first The Vampire’s Wife dress last year, which was a floral-print hammered silk-satin midi dress. See my Instagram post for how it looks like. At first, I was a bit not sure whether it would be too dramatic. Because it has a big shoulder, a super long sleeves and a fancy satin floral print. However, when i put it on, I fell in love with it immediately. Yes, it is a bit bold. But at the same time with its refined and minimal cut, it is not noisy. It is so silently gorgeous, bold but not loud. It gives me so much confidence when I wore it.
Styling the new The Vampire’s Wife pussy bow floral print cotton poplin mini dress
Recently, I bought my second The Vampire’s Wife dress from Net-a-Porter. This time, it is a mini dress with a beautiful pussy bow. The vintage inspired floral print adds depth to the dress and tone it down. Yet, the mini dress exposed my legs. The overall silhouette is feminine and elegant.
I mixed this lovely dress with the Balenciaga Hourglass Top Handle Bag and Christian Louboutin pumps. Both of them were purchased during my Paris Fashion Week trip last September. There is my name “Ruby” grafitti on the Balenciaga bag, which was a special service during fashion week at the Avenue Montaigne shop. While the Louboutin shoes are a pair of Autumn Winter 19/20 collection with a pretty bow on them too.
For accessories, I matched this look with a pair of Balenciaga hoop earrings and a pair of new Dior SoStellaire3 sunglasses. In order to make the look more fashionable and different, I added a pair of Gucci intarsia fishnet tights. I got them last season, and they are still in perfect condition this year. Last but not least, complimenting the look with Chanel hair clip and Gucci rings.
